Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to invite you to the 5^th Congress of the Professional Department for Medical Laboratory Activities before the Croatian Chamber of Health Professionals, titled Medical Laboratory Diagnostics in Practice with International Participation.

The Congress will be held in Osijek from 4^th to 7^th June 2020 at Hotel Osijek, located in the centre of the city. A dinner for all and the opportunity to socialize will be organized at Hotel Osijek for the congress events.

The Congress is intended for all medical laboratory diagnostics workers and all those interested who are involved in its practical application in scientific research.

The topics of the Congress cover areas of medical laboratory diagnostics from microbiology, histopathology and cytology, transfusion medicine and immunology, molecular diagnostics, clinical chemistry and haematology, quality control in medical laboratories, nosocomial infections and POCT.

We invite all interested students of medical laboratory diagnostics to the student section. They will have the opportunity to present their papers, exchange experience with others, and be provided with professional assistance from a mentor from the student section.

The Professional Department for Medical Laboratory Activities before the Croatian Chamber of Health Professionals is a fully-fledged member of EPBS and IFBL, and their representatives from member states provide international importance to our Congress through their participation. Naturally, it will also be interesting to exchange new knowledge and experience concerning technological achievements in medical diagnostics as well as status-related progress of BLS in the EU and the world.
